Tips for family travel in Dominican Republic
The Dominican Republic’s landscapes, friendly people and vibrant culture can make for a family vacation to be remembered for years. As with all travel with children, there are some things to take note of:
Documentation
Children under the age of 13 who are traveling with a parent or legal guardian are not required to have a passport but should carry a birth certificate. Children traveling with non-parents should have a passport.

Sun Safety
Be safe in the sun, remember the intensity of the tropical sun and apply sun block of at least SFP 30 any time your family will be outside. Be especially careful and reapply when are exposed to the sun for extended periods of time. Also be sure to drink plenty of water to avoid sunstroke.

Necessities
While most common items you might need such as diapers, toothpaste and sun block are easily available in Dominican Republic, be sure to consider your destination and how remote it may be when packing. Remember to pack any specialty creams or over-the-counter medications as well as prescriptions for your children.

Fun for the whole family
